October 25 Meeting

A great time was had by all and we even managed to complete 3 projects before the night was through. I'd like to welcome Chrissy, Nicki and Kiesha who were out for the first time.
Tasha was the hostess and she treated us with delicious Halloween chocolate cupcakes and I made Cabbage Roll Casserole for supper.
We magically filled our tin cans, made a really cool photo album and did and awesome glitter technique as seen on the card above. To find out how to do this technique click here
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR THE UPDATED INFO ON THE RECIPE SWAP!!!!

Cabbage Roll Casserole
Like the taste of cabbage rolls but hate all the work? Here is a quick alternative that tastes SO much like a normal cabbage roll:

1 lb ground chicken, turkey or beef
1/2 cup instant rice
1/2 cup onions, chopped
1 cup water
15 ozs Italian style tomato sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1 bag coleslaw mix
1/8 tsp black pepper

In a large skillet, cook chicken and onions until chicken is no longer pink. Transfer mixture to a 6-quart slow cooker. Add tomato sauce, coleslaw mix, rice, water, salt, and black pepper. Cooker will be full but cabbage will cook down. Cover and cook on low for 5 hours, or until cabbage is done.
